Overview

A leading, multinational business requires an outstanding Head of Management Accounting to be based in Central London. Excellent benefits on offer. The Head of Management Accounting will play an integral role in supporting the Head of Business Partnering and operational business leaders via the provision of commercially astute analysis and management information. Primary responsibilities will include producing accurate monthly management accounts, annual budgets and re-forecasts whilst ensuring that financial information is both consistent and compliant with accounting policies. Head of Management Accounting responsibilities: Leading the team in the accurate preparation and production of monthly management accounts to a strict timetable Ensuring that the finance team completes all monthly accruals, provisions and prepayments affecting month end closure Calculating key accrued revenue and bonus balances at period end Gaining a deeper understanding of the business and investigating reasons for any underperformance Driving business growth and raising the profile of finance with operations Preparation and delivery of annual budgets, variance analysis, quarterly re-forecasting and presentation Preparation of Business Line Board Pack Business partnering to the Marketing, Communication and Business Development Department and working closely with the Head of Marketing to understand costs and strategic direction Provide ad-hoc reports using a variety of programs including accounting software, Excel and Word Drive improved transparency and accountability with a robust framework for ongoing analysis The candidate: Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Significant, previous P&L exposure Strong accounting knowledge Strong experience of management reporting and commercial finance including coverage across budgeting and forecasting, KPI analysis etc Demonstrable record of delivery in a demanding finance position with exposure to FP&A, commercial finance and corporate accounting. Experience working with and influencing financial and non-financial stakeholders Managing budgets and analysing statistical data Developing and implementing effective and efficient processes Excellent planning and organisational skills Robust character with confidence in challenging existing protocol and stakeholders Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and be a self-starter Passionate, motivated, proactive and flexible attitude Attention to detail and high level of numeracy Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills Team leadership experience advantageous The Head of Management Accounting will be rewarded with the following: Highly competitive basic salary Car allowance Bonus Excellent flexibility Outstanding overall benefits package
