THE ROLE: Are you skilled across all aspects of commercial litigation? Looking for the next step up on the career ladder? Frustrated at the lack of progression and direction at your current firm? Well my client is a leading national law firm and they are looking to capitalise on their recent successes through the appointment of a target driven Commercial Litigation Partner to cover the broad spectrum of commercial litigation including board, shareholder and partnership disputes, contested probate, inheritance disputes, commercial disputes, warranty claims, banking litigation and financial services. You will be able to deal with the day to day management of your own caseload of files as well as assist with the supervising and mentoring of junior fee earners. THE CANDIDATE: Ideal Commercial Litigation Partners will have a minimum of 7 years experience in dealing with all types of dispute resolution matters. You may already be working as a Head of Department in the Midlands or Birmingham market and will have strong ties to the region. As an experienced individual you will have an excellent track record of winning new work and business development. You must be a recognised name in the Legal 500 and/or Chambers & Partners directories and will be able to demonstrate a sizeable following. The role has a high level of autonomy and you will be the type of individual who will thrive in this type of environment. THE FIRM: Providing unique advice to commercial clients, the highly rated commercial litigation department of this progressive and highly successful practice provides assistance on all aspects of commercial litigation including breach of warranty, shareholder disputes, professional negligence and contested probate. This firm's continued growth means it is pushing forward plans to hire a Commercial Litigation Partner to play a key role in the development of the department. They are highly ambitious and are looking to grow significantly over the next few years. The firm are keen to continue developing this area and now look to make a senior appointment to further strengthen the litigation offerings.
