Overview

A leading name in retail is recruiting for a Operations Accountant to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role will start as soon as possible - ideally by mid-March but with some flexibility for the right applicant. The initial term will be 3 months. Key objectives of the role: -Management of the service charge cost base including all associated month end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, annual budget, and regular forecasting; -Management of rates liabilities, including co-ordination of rates mitigation initiatives and communication with the local council; -Business partner with departmental managers within the Operational Management team and supporting with managing risks and opportunities to enable successful delivery of the cost base within acceptable tolerance versus budget; -Other finance tasks, including VAT returns, support in Joint Venture reporting, and assisting with audit queries. Required skills/experience: -Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred); -Experience working within industry/commercial environment; -Experience working with operational stakeholders (non-head office); -Proficient level of IT literacy, including use of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; -Demonstrates strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise tasks independently; -Demonstrates analytical mindset - can identify and understand trends and variances, with great attention to detail. %MCEPASTEBIN%
