Overview

If you are an experienced Cargo X-Ray Screener and can offer up to 15 - 20 hours of your time per week, we have an urgent requirement for your skills. We have an immediate requirement from a freight distribution network based at East Midlands Airport (DE74 2SA) to assist cargo screening services. In return as Cargo X-Ray Screener you will receive: • Excellent salary of £12.43 p/h – 14.93 p/h • Weekly or Monthly pay • Part time evening shifts Monday to Friday 1930 hrs – 0230 hrs • Refresher training (subject to assessment) • Free parking Your duties as a Cargo X-Ray Screener: • Screening of freight and cargo in line with CAA/DfT guidelines using X-Ray screening machines • Loading and unloading freight & cargo weighing up to 25kg per item • Manually assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles The following skills are essential for this Cargo X-Ray Screener position: • A valid DfT/CAA Cargo Operative Screener certification covering Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 including all training notes • Visual and numerical accuracy • Be able to work in very busy and physically demanding environments • The ability to get to and from East Midlands Airport using your own transport We are happy to consider any individual who is currently employed in a similar role and looking for additional hours to supplement their income. Any experience as a X-Ray Screener, Rapid Goods Screener, Cargo Screener or Freight X-Ray Screener will be highly desirable.
