Job Title: Sous Chef Salary: £32,000 bonus Location: North London Who will you be working for? A destination modern British dining room/gastro pub based in Islington. They are famed for being a fully seasonal restaurant with a menu that changes daily according to market availability. This restaurant champion small, local producers and treat ingredients simply to get the best out of them. Meat is butchered on site and everything is made in house by the talented Chefs. What are we looking for? A Sous Chef who has a passion for working with the best seasonal produce. You’ll need to be creative and have a natural flair for menu writing and understanding how to treat ingredients to get the best out of them. As the Head Chef’s second in command, the ideal candidate will already be working as a Sous Chef and have a strong grasp of all areas of kitchen management. Desirable Qualities: Currently be a Sous Chef within a high-end modern British gastropub/restaurant Have a natural, creative flair for working with fresh, seasonal ingredients Possess excellent communication skills and able to lead a kitchen brigade in the Head Chef’s absence Have excellent knowledge of health & hygiene policies and procedures Be looking for a long term stable career within a rewarding kitchen which is regularly praised in the local media Does this sound like the job for you?
