JUNIOR SOUS CHEF We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef for Bubala, an incredible, high volume Middle Eastern restaurant, near Spitalfields. Bubala serves quality, punchy, vibrant, vegetarian dishes, inspired by the food of Tel Aviv. There is currently a small kitchen team, where they serve hundreds of guests in a very relaxed, calm and fun environment. The venue is super busy and is very fast paced, it’s an ideal opportunity for an ambitious chef to work their way up. WHAT’S THE JOB? As Junior Sous, you will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the successful running of the kitchen. You will be part of a small but perfectly formed team of creative and ambitious chefs who work in a relaxed manor, there is no shouting in this kitchen. You will begin by understanding each section and then move on to running the pass and even your own shifts. It presents a great opportunity for the right candidate to grow within a highly regarded restaurant which has received outstanding reviews since opening a few months ago. WHO ARE THEY LOOKING FOR? The right candidate will be an experienced senior chef from a fast-paced restaurant background, preferably with experience of working with fresh food and good quality ingredients. Other attributes would include: · Great attention to detail and experience with fresh food. · A passion for driving standards and quality. · A genuine love for food and its heritage. All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and will be required to provide suitable and up-to-date ID at first stage interview.
