Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Manager – Salford, Manchester Candour have been engaged by a market leading financial services outfit to source a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will be tasked with managing & maintaining the company’s infrastructure encompassing the Manchester Head Office as well as numerous regional outlets. This is an awesome opportunity for an accomplished Senior Engineer from a Microsoft stack background to move into a position of autonomy looking after the infrastructure of a hugely successful outfit. Key skills & experience: Technical- -VMware -HP Blade Infrastructure -SAN technologies -Windows Server – all o/s -Citrix XenApp Application/Desktop Delivery -Cisco networking -Active directory management -Microsoft Azure and 365 -Microsoft Exchange server Personal- -Problem solving techniques and capabilities -Communication, interpersonal & organisational skills are essential -Keeping up to date with technology undertaking training as necessary. -Organised and self-motivated Key Accountabilities: Infrastructure management - maintain core systems, including but not limited to: Datacentre Hardware, Virtualisation technologies, Networking, Microsoft Windows and Linux Servers to avoid unavailability with proactive maintenance. To resolve incidents escalated by the Service Desk and Technical Support Analyst within SLA and be the final escalation point. Training and mentoring the IT support team Develop and maintain the delivery platform for end users. Assist in the design of new services to deliver to the business.
