Overview

Overall Job Function: Manage team of engineers and maximize all aspects of the team performance through daily supervision of all reportees. Control stock and ensure movement of items is documented. Electronic diagnostics and repairs . Responsibilities: Be responsible for the test, repair to component level and reassembling of consumer and/or IT related product types Achieve the set targets in all areas of work e.g. turnaround, productivity KPI's and customer expectations Be capable of working to local work instructions and writing local instructions for new products on BMS Update the BOSS repair tracking system and manufacturer sites with information on repairs as required Ensure accurate data entry into the Servicecare systems and any relevant customer systems operated on Servicecare’s department. Be capable of training a “Junior” Engineer Assist Junior Engineer's with queries with their work Be responsible for agreed internal projects to help business needs Be familiar with and work to all Servicecare's operational procedures as per ISO 9001 Ensure a safe environment and operate safe working practices at all times and conform to all Health & Safety procedures. Any other reasonable tasks as requested by a Team Manager or Operations Manager Position requirements: Qualifications in Electronics and minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance workshop/repair center Be capable of repairing to board and component level Have a responsible attitude towards the quality of their work, eliminating the need for any form of quality inspection To be able to work without constant supervision To be mature, self-motivated, innovative and analytical To be able to prioritise work load and fulfil expectations with deadlines in all areas. Good people skills to manage a team and communicate with managers. Computer literate with a broad knowledge of MS Office and be able to provide feedback/reports both electronically and by paper. Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills and high level of confidentiality. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work deadlines and within defined standards.
