Paraplanner Location: London Salary: c£50,000-£60,000 Benefits and bonus The Company: Wealth Management business who are highly profitable and successful The Role: to support a top producing IFA when informing and advising clients on financial strategies, plans and products. Key Requirements and Skills: Thorough knowledge of product research and analytical tools Good team working and liaison skills to deal effectively with tasks set and provide support for other team members An understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relating to financial services clients Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally Good communication skills (written and verbal) that are effective and meet business needs Ability to prioritise and organise own workload Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines IT skills commensurate with computer packages used including detailed understanding and use of Enable (our CRM tool) Accuracy of work and attention to detail Diploma qualified and ideally progressing towards CII Chartered Financial Planner status Key Responsibilities: The technical aspects of preparing for client meetings, including: Preparing and compiling financial analysis - asking Technical Assistants to obtain data as required Analysing client data and preparing cash flow analyses Researching products to support recommendations Compiling financial planning recommendations and suitability reports Providing support for the Client Partner and Financial Planner Ensuring that all regulatory and compliance standards are met Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties Ensuring that all client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion Managing, recording and monitoring client annual reviews on behalf of the Client Partner and Financial Planner(s) Prepare all relevant paperwork for client meetings - with help of Technical Assistant where appropriate Assisting the Technical Manager with annual technical reviews of services and products Prepare O&M reports for more complex cases, request and check Technical Assistant to do straightforward cases Pension contribution checks including carry forward Produce correspondence to clients, providers and third parties as appropriate, in an efficient and professional manner Represent the business at client meetings and BDM meetings as required Keep up to date with market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors to support effective decision making Attending Investment Committee and taking minutes for circulation Draft Your Financial Plan and review with Client Partner Draft complex suitability letters to be approved by Financial Planner and instruct Support Assistants and approve straightforward suitability letters Point of contact for clients Promoting the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly professional IFA/Wealth Manager.
