Semi-Senior Accountant opportunity within an established Chartered Accountancy Practice offering career progression as far as Manager/ Senior Manager and exposure to all areas of Audit / Accounts and Business Services. THE COMPANY An established Chartered Accountancy Practice with a long history in Central Lancashire, specialising in providing SME and Mid-Market Corporate businesses with expert Compliance and Business Advisory solutions. THE OPPORTUNITY . A Semi-Senior Accountant opportunity has arisen offering career development to Manager / Senior Manager level and full responsibility for delivering accountancy and business services to a portfolio of SME clients. Working closely with the firm's Senior Management Team you will play a key role as an Accounts Senior in managing the Accounts, Business Services and Business Advisory requirements of a client base comprising Sole-Traders, SME businesses and Mid-Market Corporate organisations ranging from c.£30k t/o - £20m t/o. As an Accounts Senior your responsibilities will include: Preparing Year-End Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies Assisting a Manager with Audit of financial statements and accounts for mid-market corporate clients Xero Bookkeeping and production of Monthly / Quarterly Management Accounts Completing and submitting VAT Returns Corporate Tax Computations and Returns Regular contact with clients, ensuring solutions are delivered and relationships are maintained You will benefit from: Career development and progression Study support towards professional qualifications (ACCA) if required Flexible working hours Exposure to all aspects of Accountancy and Business Advisory work THE PERSON You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following: AAT Qualified / ACCA Part-Qualified or Qualified By Experience Background within small or medium sized Accountancy Practice (c.4 - 5 years) A strong desire to progress your career to Manager and potentially Director level within Chartered Practice If you are currently working in a small Accountancy Practice and are seeking an opportunity offering a great future and long-term career progression please contact Alastair McLean at Lucas McLean Recruitment to discuss this unique opportunity.
