Job Title: Junior Finance Project Analyst Location: EC1 Farringdon Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 Overview of the organisation: In the 30 years since this architect firm was founded it has grown from 4 to 500 people and is a leading British architectural practice with key clients and projects in all major sectors, from housing, schools and sports buildings, exhibition spaces and offices and healthcare facilities, to the odd bus station and art gallery. Job Description: As a Finance Analyst you will be reporting to the Projects and Finance Systems Accountant as well as the Finance Director. Your primary responsibility will be to assist and support the Projects and Finance Systems Accountant in providing the accurate and timely management (and financial) reporting required by the practice. Roles and Responsibilities: Database Maintenance: ·Updating and maintaining the job costing system (using Paprika and i2) ·Support Architects enquiries relating to i2 ·Assisting the Project Analyst with i2 training for staff on timesheets and expenses ·Ensure the company database are in line for work stages, clients, supplies, projects, and resources (being paprika, cascade, Newforma) ·Ensuring data validation and naming conventions are consistent when setting up projects, work stages and resources ·Updating construction values, and project architects Data Collection and Validation: ·Ensuring that the data returns reliable information for analysing job performance and resources ·Supporting, monitoring, checking and processing monthly timesheets; including prompting architects to update any missing timesheets Fees: ·Assist the Projects and Finance Systems Accountant to produce weekly resource forecast analysis by project, staff members, studio, and company level ·Assist the Projects and Finance Systems Accountant review each projects’ current status (e.g. Live, on hold, closed) ·Assist the Projects and Finance Systems Accountant with the daily updating of Paprika with budgeted fees and recharges ·Creating weekly invoice pdf’s ·Invoicing - Supporting the Sales Ledger Clerks to prepare timely sales invoices Skills and experience: ·An understanding of Excel ·Experience working within finance - preferred ·Basic understanding of VAT ·Experience as a Finance Administrator/ Finance Assistant would be desirable
