Overview
Orion Group is a main contractor specialising in building long term relationships with its clients. We do this by working closely with all stakeholders involved in our commercial office and industrial warehousing fit out, refurbishment and construction projects. It is not what you do, but how you do it. Since 1993 we have been delivering projects from £50,000 to £4,000,000 with passion, enthusiasm, experience and professionalism. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for running and delivering refurbishment projects of up to £3m, reporting to the Contracts/Project Manager. The candidate will be required to lead all aspects of the site work, managing the supply chain to deliver the projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers’ expectations. Key responsibilities include: The ability to maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management. The ability to establish and maintain standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and requirements. Manage the client expectations and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations. Management of community relations and ensuring appropriate site image is maintained to encourage repeat business. Implement standard procedures. Deliver the project on programme and to the expected quality. Record variations and manage the design at site level, dealing directly with the design team. Essential and desirable criteria Essential: A track record of successful delivery of projects. Using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook Controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets. Efficient use of all staff and resources. Reading and accurately interpreting programmes, drawings and technical specifications. Ensuring project team(s) understanding of drawings and technical specifications. Managing teams including the supply chain, direct employees and consultants. Playing a leading role which positively contributes to the project team(s). Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC / NVQ4 etc) or equivalent. Appropriate CSCS card. SMSTS certificate. First Aid at Work certificate. Asbestos certificate Valid driving licence.
