Overview

Dartmouth are working with a leading private equity firm with circa £4 billion of assets under management. The firm is known in the market for their exceptional working culture, progression opportunities and compelling investment portfolio. As a result one of their partners is seeking a highly capable Finance Manager to act as his No.2 on all of their investments. It is essential that someone can work independently, has strong modelling skills and has a desire to fast-track their career progression in this broad and all-encompassing role. Job Role: To manage / execute all aspects of the accounting and finance function in relation to the Private Equity funds / investments (Limited Partnerships) whilst ensuring efficient and robust workflows and controls are in place. Responsibilities: Acting as first point of contact for the Private Equity funds relating to finance matters Ensuring accurate and timely management and financial reporting across the portfolio both internally and externally to the Limited Partners / investors (incl. quarterly management accounts / statutory accounts) Accurate calculations of General Partner Share / management fees in accordance with the Limited Partnership Agreements ("LPAs") Co-ordination of the quarterly portfolio valuation process Timely preparation of drawdown and distribution notices as and when required Monitoring levels of unfunded commitment and future cash forecasts Preparation of fund waterfall models in accordance with the LPAs Working closely with the Private Equity team being aware of all finance and admin queries to ensure Investment Managers can focus on their core roles Asset and fund performance reporting (e.g. IRR performance) Awareness of changes to accounting standards and IPEV guidelines Liaising with tax and legal advisers and auditors as required Essential: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) Technically strong with Limited Partnership experience Skills: Strong organisational skills Excellent attention to detail A self-starter able to take initiative and ownership Must be numerate and able to demonstrate strong financial literacy Strong team player, able to build relationships with both the wider business and external stakeholders Desire for continued development in fund operations environment Fluent Written & Spoken English to a high standard Excel to an advanced level
