Senior Embedded Engineer - Medical Devices - Cambridge A world-leading medical devices developer based in Cambridge are in the process of further expansion and are actively looking to strengthen their in-house design team by bringing on a Senior Embedded Engineer. As a Senior Embedded Engineer, you will be utilising your skills to solve complex engineering problems on innovative and safety critical medical technology. You will be applying your real time development knowledge to create, develop and test embedded software for products that aim to save and improve lives. All of the systems you will be working on will include electronics, optics, fluidics, robotics and UI components thus requiring an all-round engineering knowledge, attention to detail and good team work skills. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and writing high-quality code for real time software as well as performing tests, code reviews and quality assurance. You will also be part of new concept meetings where new ideas are formulated and planned, meaning that you will be involved in development projects right from the initial stage, giving you the opportunity to shape the development process. To be considered for the Senior Embedded Engineer role you must have proven experience in developing real-time embedded software systems in C or C++. This will be coupled with a strong and relevant academic record and knowledge of how to interface microcontrollers with sensors and actuators. Ideally this experience will be within medical devices however they are open to other industries.
