Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to cover predominantly the Midlands but must be flexible to work anywhere in the UK as required. The role will suit candidates with engineering experience on simple electrical installation and strong mechanical skills. Duties and responsibilities: To attend sites around the UK following a schedule of pre-planned service visits Carry out assessment of equipment Complete service check sheets to ensure a record and service history if collated and maintained Flag non-conformancies and detail works required to make rectification works Liaise with client to ensure that they are abreast of the service requirements and seek their interaction to ensure all service checks and tests are carried out Reporting to the Service Manager and Service team to ensure communication from site is properly recorded Build and strengthen customer relations throughout delivery of consistent quality work and communication Offer and seek technical help and support to and from engineering team Be responsive to call outs for site trouble shooting and systems actuations on a weekend rotation basis with the Service and Engineering teams Occasional working away from home this is a home based role with regular visits made to warehouse to re-stock and liaise with Service Manager and team Skills and experience required: Sound engineering experience on simple electrical installation and strong mechanical skills Attention to detail Desire to produce high quality work Strong communicator Self starter with an independent approach to work Good skills set to demonstrate mechanical and simple electrical skills Ability to learn and take on new technical skills Hourly rate depending upon experience, from £9.50 per hour initially rising to £13.00 when fully trained. 45 hours per week overtime as required.
