Overview
Our supported sheltered Abbeyfield home in Gerrards Cross is looking for the successful candidate who will love cooking and creating exciting meals from fresh ingredients for 13 elderly residents. Working 4 day shifts alternating with our House Manager, you will cook lunches and teas. The shift days cover weekends, bank holidays and also cover for absence/annual leave. Annual leave will be 5.6 weeks pro rata. Interaction with the residents is part of the requirement, as is the ability to help solve minor problems. You will be able to competently complete internet ordering and undertake stock control. You should have a sympathetic interest in or having worked with older people, the ability to multi-task, be calm under pressure and be approachable and friendly. Some flexibility with hours will be required to attend appropriate training courses and quarterly staff meetings.
