Overview
We have an exciting opportunity available as a Principal Scientist at a Cutting edge Biotechnology company based in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced scientist to enter into an innovative company leading the translational team. Role Responsibilities Identify, validate and develop approaches for prosecuting new drug targets in neurodegenerative diseases. Design and delivery of pharmacology/ pharmacodynamics studies, with strong experience in experimental systems relevant to Parkinson’s Disease. Oversight and management of ongoing and new/planned studies at both academic and contract research organisations. CNS pharmacology leadership for pipeline projects. Effective collaboration management. Critically analyse and interpret data, define realistic timelines for studies and meet delivery deadlines. Execute high impact studies within an extremely fast-paced and collaborative environment. Delivery of pharmacology/pharmacodynamics research reports for inclusion in regulatory documentation. Ensure CNS pharmacology studies are relevant for drug development in human neurodegenerative disease. Support identification and validation of novel therapeutic targets and delivery of new targets into the pipeline. Candidate Requirements PHD 5 years industry experience Ideally experience working in the Neuron field Experience interacting with Target Validation teams This is a hugely exciting time to enter into this organisation due to their preparation to transition to clinic.
