Overview
We are recruiting for a Support Worker for a service based in Withington/Fallowfield Manchester that specialise in providing a person centred support with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The service aims to support the residents to be as independent as possible. You will meet there emotional, social and practical needs which ensures they maintain a high quality of life. They always encourage involvement of the family and friends. The organisation currently supports over 70 people across their support living and registered care services. You will be part of a team and as a senior you will be there to support the service manager in the day to day management of the service. You will also be given admin time per week to perform your senior duties. You will be responsible for the staffing rota, supervisions, audits, staff management, shift planning, medication management and service support. You will need to have experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities and ideally have experience with complex needs. This could be challenging behaviour, mental health, autism and physical disabilities. It would be great if you also had experience in supervising staff and being a positive influence to a team. You will need to lead by example with providing brilliant person centred care. Ideally you will have completed your NVQ Level 3 in health and Social Care or being willing to complete this. You will need to be able to work on a full time basis which will be a 6 week rolling rota. You will be paid £9.71 per hour (Annual salary of £21,206). You will have 236 hours annual leave with time and a half for bank holidays worked.
