Overview

My client who are a well established service provider with an ever improving and ambitious brand are looking for an IT Supplier and Commercial Manager to join their team. The IT Supplier Relationship Management is a member if the Technology Leadership Team and shares a collective responsibility for the successful operation and development of the my clients IT services and capabilities. Responsible for: Developing, periodically reviewing and, maintaining a technology supplier/vendor strategy; Getting best value from our relationships with our Suppliers; Leadership to ensure that best practice supplier management is understood and followed across the Technology team; Developing, maintaining and enhancing positive commercial, professional and collaborative relationships with IT & Technology suppliers and internal stakeholders; The Contract Management processes, tools and reporting to ensure that my clients supplier contracts are well managed, achieve best value for money are compliant with our regulatory responsibilities and in line with good industry practice; Ensuring IT and Business strategy and requirements are well understood and prioritised by the supplier community, and acts as a key point of contact for escalation and arbitration with IT suppliers; Ensure that the organisation achieves its objectives with its suppliers and assists the IT supplier(s) with the achievement of their reasonable business objectives. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Developing and directing the relationships with the strategic (high-spend, high-value and high-dependence) IT suppliers; Facilitates and builds relationships with executives internally and across with supplier base; Manages the Commercial and Supplier Management resources (people, systems and tools) to achieve best outcomes for my client, both commercially and operationally; Develops and operates governance process frameworks for interactions and integrations with the different supplier(s) Facilitates requirement setting and prioritisation for the suppliers Ensures that requirements are well-communicated and well-understood, and clearly defines expectations from the business Acts as the point of accountability for escalation and arbitration for relationship issues and, if all other avenues of supplier management fail, for both commercial and operational problems Monitors the performance of the agreements and the overall relationships with the suppliers Liaises with the Head Technology in two-way communications to channel and prioritise the requirements to the supplier(s) and to ensure that internal customer expectations are met; Helps establish common goals between key stakeholders and suppliers, and drives communication between both sides; Maintains a Contract Management repository and associated Contract Management processes for periodic reviews, renewals, terminations and contract changes; Develops and maintains internal reporting on supplier performance; Provides guidance and support to ensure the technology purchasing function conforms to the agreed commercial principles and processes and delivers best value for money; Develops and manages supplier Risk Management actions, tools and reporting.
