HR Business Partner Regional - Midlands £45k Car Benefits Permanent The remit of this roles is: To deliver strategic HR support to the Chief Operating Officers and their respective divisional management teams on all people related activity. As HR Business Partners, you aren't just doing the transactional elements of HR, you will be highly integrated into business groups to help craft programs and policies. When this role is being undertaken competently, i.e. after induction and any role-specific training, the post holder will: You will take ownership for the delivery of strategic objectives for business and functional leaders that align with the overall company and departmental plans. You will gain a deep knowledge of your internal client base to provide day-to-day operational solution driven support You will provide policy guidance and interpretation on everything from business unit restructures to workforce and organizational planning You will coach management on performance management discussions, employee relations issues, discipline matters, and promotion/transfer/termination discussions You will analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the international HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies Work with the HR Business Partner team to analyse and report on company HR data being solution focused Stay up-to-date on legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance Work with and support client bases with change management projects Protect the Company from any HR related disputes Train, guide and support managers in carrying out disciplinary, grievance, performance management, attendance management and recruitment & selection procedures Manage sickness absences i.e. monitoring long term absence; requesting medical reports; monitoring employee return to work in line with the Equality Act Manage Succession Planning for the region. Challenging headcount within the Region. Manage regional recruitment at all levels, internal and external. Arranging and attending interviews where required. Manage TUPE processes where required. Develop upcoming talent / top performers, creating development plans where needed. Manage the new starter processes - prompting and advising managers in measuring new starter performance within the probationary period. Be involved in Regional and Companywide HR Projects Propose and support 'best practice' in all areas of HR You are responsible for your health and safety and have a duty of care for others around you within your working environment. Support all areas within your respective division across the UK&I region, spending time out in the business on a weekly basis is essential Key Skills / Qualifications Required: Specific technical, specialised or professional know-how needed Knowledge of Industrial Consumables / MRO market and products - Desirable An understanding of strategic personnel development aims and objectives - Essential Identification, coordination and delivery of training needs across the Group - Essential Experience of devising and delivering training to both formal groups and the coaching of individuals - Essential Minimum vocational/academic qualifications required GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics. Professional Qualification required NVQ (level 4), HNC in Personnel Development or associated subject - Essential Recognised CIPD Certification - Desirable Knowledge and level of proficiency in the use of IT software packages required Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Project - Essential Minimum post qualification time and experience necessary to become fully proficient in the role Minimum of 2 years in a HR/Training or Operational Management environment at a supervisory or management level - Essential Regional HR experience - Desirable If you feel you have the relevant skills and experience please do apply.
