Overview

Finance Officer - Educational background - Up to £21,600 - Start ASAP Your new company My client is a public sector organisation in Sheffield, currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their finance team on a permanent basis. You will be working 41 weeks / annum only (39 weeks to be worked in term time; 2 weeks in school holidays). Your new role The main purpose of this role is to provide an efficient and effective financial service to the trust. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Process and review of orders, deliveries and invoices Prepare appropriate documents for the Senior Finance Officer and Chief Operating Officer Responsible for ensuring that supplies and services quotations are instigated and completed Place orders for goods and equipment, checking deliveries and invoices in accordance with current procedures and financial regulations Operate and maintain appropriate systems for financial monitoring as required e.g. exams budget, educational trips, credit card purchases Guide colleagues in relation to best value practice and efficient use of public monies Journal transactions as necessary including any recharges Undertake the safe collection, correct handling, recording and banking of cash in accordance with financial regulations Operate and maintain all systems associated with income received, including the security of cash receipts and to raise invoices in a timely manner for all services provided What you'll need to succeed My client is looking for an AAT qualified finance candidate who would like to progress their career even further. Ideally you come from an educational environment, have experience of working within financial sectors as well as working with budgets. What you'll get in return Working days are Monday to Friday, 37 hours / week, 41 weeks / annum (39 weeks term time; 2 weeks school holidays).
