Overview
Job Title: Claims Data Analyst Location: London Package: GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 Industry: Insurance Job Type: Permanent _________________________________________________________________________________ The purpose of this role is to support the continual growth of our client by helping monitor and manage the outsourced claims functions, enhancing data collection, validation and analysis of multiple lines of business presenting results to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilties: - Validating and translating claims data for multiple insurance lines including motor, home, pet, travel and surety business - First point of contact for all claims data queries and issues - Supporting various functions within the business on specialist data and reporting needs. - Producing data analysis and reports for internal stakeholders and external clients and brands - Enhance data collection - Validate data collected - Report findings and performance to internal and external key stakeholders - Understand current market trends, claims processes and changes in law that impact claims Skills & Experience: - Strong analytical and communication skills. - Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple functions of insurance, internal and external stakeholders. - Creative problem solver - Flexible and adaptable - Background in claims handling and/or operations. Multiple personal and/or commercial lines insurance experience desirable - Strong visual and verbal communication skills - Understanding of claims and insurance/reinsurance business - Data analysis and data management skills - Experience working with relational SQL databases - Data visualisation and report building - High level of numerical and analytical skills - Ability to investigate data issues and apply cost benefit analysis - Strong attention to detail - Good problem solving skills - Ability to work independently and take responsibility for delivery of client requirements - Well organised, with ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively Duties & Tasks - Liaison with internal and external clients to fully understand data content to maximise the benefits to the business, uncovering possible weaknesses and working for their correction. - Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements for data using appropriate tools and techniques, and ensure these are agreed at all levels throughout the business. - Managing own work priorities; working in a highly organised way. Managing colleagues expectations. - Ensuring data used in various work streams are of good quality and up to date. - Working independently or together with colleagues as appropriate - Produce quality written, visual and numerical material for regular meetings audit preparation - Plus any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role.
