Overview
This is a great opportunity to join a high performing finance team working in a fast, dynamic environment. Due to growth, our client is seeking to add an experienced regulatory specialist to lead the Regulatory team which forms part of the wider Finance department. The role will be responsible for the oversight of all regulatory returns submitted to the PRA and FCA, including but not limited to COREP, FINREP, MLAR and Liquidity reporting. The Regulatory Reporting Manager will report to the Group Financial Controller and will be the line manager for two team members who work within the Regulatory team. Responsibilities: Assist with creating a culture of continuous improvement across the Finance, Business Intelligence, Treasury and Regulatory Reporting teams. Take ownership of the data used within the ALM system, ensuring that it is both complete and accurate. Automate the flow of data from the business to the ALM system via the Data Warehouse. Oversee the relationship with the ALM software provider and ensure that the requirements of the Group’s Third-Party Risk Management framework are adhered to. Assess the impact of new products and develop a process to onboard products in an efficient and controlled manner, ensuring that the requirements of the Finance, Treasury and Business Intelligence teams are considered. Oversee the production and submission of the regulatory returns (COREP, FINREP, MLAR and Liquidity) in a timely and accurate manner. Work with the Finance Planning and Analysis team to develop business plans and forecasts over a 1-year budget horizon and strategic 5-year business plan horizon and their impact on regulatory limits. Produce Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment (ICAAP) working closely with each area of the business to ensure the document is robust. Oversee the production of the Group’s Pillar III documentation. Assist with the production of the Recovery Plan, working closely with each area of the business to ensure the document is robust. Review the impact of new regulatory requirements on a timely basis and take the necessary steps to ensure that there is a smooth transition. Take ownership of the COREP & FINREP manuals and regulatory interpretation documents, updating the documents for changes in the business as required. Take ownership in addressing any questions or points raised by internal audit. Knowledge and experience: Previous experience within a similar position is essential. Sound working knowledge of CRR/CRDIV including an understanding of the regulatory environment applicable to the firm. Experience to include COREP reporting for both capital and liquidity. Desirable: Working knowledge of ALMIS, the ALM software used to prepare regulatory returns.
