Overview

Engineering Team Manager - London A rare opportunity has arisen for experienced Field Services Manager to join an established organisation and market leader within their sector. Reporting directly into the Head of Field Services you will be responsible for the supervision of a team of field based engineers overseeing planned and reactive maintenance of communal heating systems, including consumer interface units, metering, AMR systems and prepayment systems in domestic and commercial properties ensuring the highest standards and levels of performance, customer service, engineering and health and safety. Salary: Up to £55,000 (depending on experience), company car / car allowance, 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays, pension, private medical insurance other benefits Location: London (within M25 corridor) Key Responsibilities: Undertake engineer audits on a regular basis to ensure customer service levels and high standards of workmanship are always maintained and that engineers have the support of their line manager to identify any training needs. Ensure that each engineer has a personal development plan and the performance management process is implemented effectively. Including the company disciplinary procedures, return to work interviews and training plans. Development of engineering staff within region. Planning and organising resource, aiding the scheduling of work to engineers within the region. Improvement of engineer efficiency across all areas and auditing the quality of the workmanship and professionalism. Manage the production of risk assessments and method statements for all sites within region. Health and Safety Management on all sites and working procedures, ensuring compliance with company procedures and statutory health and safety requirements. Problem ownership and management. Assistance in the resource planning of field staff taking into account training days, holidays, sickness levels etc. Reduce the engineer downtime and non-productive time. Increase the first fix rate through training, knowledge and van stock. Carry out disconnections on site at properties which have gone through the debt management process. Role Requirements: Experienced supervisor within heating, energy or utilities Strong man management skills to control a remote team of field engineers Ability to foresee and / or react quickly to problems.
