Role & Responsibilities: To enable to transformation of Royal Mail’s technology the company is looking to new and exciting ways in which to deliver value. To support this, we’re looking for motivated and skilled people to be part of our DevOps Tooling Platform. This is a team of DevOps evangelists that guide the rest of IT in the ways of DevOps. We also run interesting proof of concept pieces and share skills and knowledge in the team. This role is to be a senior member in our team, taking ownership of products in the stack and managing demand across the business for tools and best practise DevOps processes. As a lead you will be expected to be a role model and manage the people in the team. You may ask yourself, what is ‘innovation’? To us innovation is the ability to look at doing things a different way, to leverage new technology coming through and help those in the business come along in that journey. This role has a specific emphasis on thinking on your feet and suggesting new ways of doing things. We’ve recently taken on more new tech than we can handle and need to expand the team to support this. Cloud technology is being used more and more and we’re adopting tools to support this.
