The job The purpose of the Hygiene Manager is to lead the cleaning and hygiene function within the business plus to monitor, maintain and oversee the hygiene and cleaning of all production areas. You will ensure the delivery of cleaning to meet the agreed standards/site specifications, train and motivate staff to achieve the required standards of performance, work closely with the Quality department by ensuring housekeeping is correctly implemented and ensure all cleaning equipment and chemicals are kept secured, maintained and well stocked. You will also work closely with site management to ensure the hygiene function is audit ready, improve standards where possible plus manage the waste, hygiene and pest control services. Your experience We are seeking a highly organised and positive individual with a solid track record of working in a hygiene capacity within the food manufacturing industry. You will possess senior hygiene team leading or management experience, have good knowledge of food safety requirements and hygiene related qualifications i.e. COSHH, IOSH etc. is highly desirable. You will lead by example with a can-do attitude and aspire to bring the company forwards. More details The Hygiene Manager job is based in the London region and is paying c. £40,000 pro rata according to individual experience. This is a 3-6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent – ideally starting ASAP. This is predominantly a day based role, however the flexibility to work night shifts will be required.
