Do you have experience of developing a Colleague or Customer Experience / Improvement Strategy and then shifting the dial in terms of what good looks like in this space? If yes, then we have your next great opportunity As the Head of Colleague experience, you will create the strategic ambition and set the direction to design, develop and implement enterprise-wide initiatives/ projects with the aim of creating an excellent experience to new and existing employees. To create and retain a motivated and high performing workforce who are enabled to deliver our purpose, vision and values. Responsibilities will include: Set the colleague experience ambition for National Grid and define the strategic priorities to deliver it Understand the differing and varied needs of our employees across the employee lifecycle, to evolve and maintain the user personas to ensure we remain agile and to address their emerging expectations Develop and execute short and long-range colleague experience strategies, processes and programs supporting National Grid's employees. Work with the COE's and Business Services on solutions to address pain points and opportunities utilising design thinking and other related methodologies and pilot ideas quickly, learning from each. Collaborate across HR, the wider business and its functions to educate and empower leaders and employees to create an excellent employee experience. Create employee experience KPIs that measure the success of employee experience initiatives and show a return on investment Oversee the collection, analysis and interpretation of data from multiple sources including surveys, people analytics and strategic workforce planning to identify trends and derive conclusions which support the business objectives for National Grid Direct / dotted line Reports: Up to 3 What you'll get A competitive salary between £65K - 75K dependent on capability As well as your base salary, you will receive a company car or allowance, a bonus of up to 20% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. About you The successful candidate will possess; Experience of designing delivering customer strategies, business improvement and change initiatives or staff engagement programmes ideally from working in a customer-facing, employee engagement or general HR role Proven track record of partnering with senior executives and relevant COEs to build and deliver strategy at pace Proven ability to deliver change initiatives with -measures to ensure desired impact and outcomes are achieved External network of expertise including partnering with consultant and industry associations to ensure that employee experience initiatives are cutting edge and reflect the latest research, techniques and concepts Ability to coach and mentor employees, stakeholders and team. Strong negotiation and influencing skills Qualifications: Degree in relevant areas of expertise or relevant professional body qualification (HR /Customer) Experience in a customer-facing, employee engagement or general HR role preferred About us In the UK, we don't generate or sell energy - we join the dots to get energy from A to B.
