Group Accountant | Tech | VC Backed | High Growth | SME | Axon Moore are representing one of Manchester's fastest growing tech businesses as they look to hire a Group Accountant who will provide support in the financial reporting cycle and prepare analyses in order to influence key business decisions during their next exciting growth phase. Based in South Manchester and reporting directly into the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a VC backed organisation at the perfect time. Whether you have progressed quickly through the industry route, or have trained within a top 10 practice, the ideal candidate will need to be highly driven and have aspirations to progress throughout the business. Whilst it is important to be a technically gifted, qualified accountant, we are looking for bright, dynamic self-starters, who will be given the platform to achieve a hugely successful career. Excellent individuals who are at finalist stage of their studies will also be considered (CIMA/ACA/ACCA). Key responsibilities include; - Produce monthly cashflow and rolling P&L forecasts - Produce group monthly management accounts - Track costs against budget to identify cost saving / efficiency's - Monthly Reporting and financial analysis on P&L and Balance Sheet - Assisting with board packs - Ownership of balance sheet - Providing support to other members of the team The successful applicant will combine technical accounting skills with commercial/business instincts and importantly, being adaptable on a day to day basis is going to be essential within this role, as you would expect in a small team and growing business.
