Overview
Group Buyer / £35,000 - £37,500 per year / Manchester Your new company You will be working a global leading manufacturer and distributor who supplier the largest names in their sector. Your new role As Group Buyer you will specifically be responsible for purchasing within the chemicals category as well as assisting with others when required. You will have a spend portfolio of over £10 million per year and have a direct impact on your categories sourcing strategy implementation, supplier selection & contracting. In addition because you category is highly regulated you will also have a strong impact on ensuring risk avoidance and all compliance is met. What you'll need to succeed You will Ideally be degree educated and/ or working towards CIPS. You will need proven experience of working with a Buyer role, preferably with Manufacturing or FMCG experience. You will be a proven end to end buyer being involved in not only the operational side but also strategy, negotiations, contacts and sourcing. You will need to be proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems and highly proficient in EXCEL and MS Office applications. What you'll get in return You will receive a salary of £35,000 - £37,500 per year excellent benefits.
