Summary of role Due to a significant company growth, we are looking to expand the IT department. We are looking for someone to join our support team in a 2nd line position to deal with escalated calls from the first line and assist them while working on a call. Key responsibilities The role will be working with our IT Support team. Applicants are not expected to have experience in every application; however, a solid understanding of Microsoft technologies along with a desire and motivation to quickly learn new skills and have a logical thinking is essential, some basic knowledge of coding / scripting is beneficial. Requirements Key attributes Solid networking principal (DNS / routing/ DHCP/VPN) Excellent knowledge of windows 7/Windows 10 Understanding of Exchange and email (exchange 2010/2016, office 365) Worked with server 2008/2012/2016 Knowledge of shared folders/permission hierarchy Good experience working in IT to include exposure to servers / Group policy/ Active Directory Knowledge on virtualisation (ESXI/HyperV) Ability to work to deadlines Ability to research solution and learn quickly and present options to management Strong attention to detail Able to cope with multiple issues at once and prioritising Preferable attributes Exposure to 365 / Azure Exposure to SQL PowerShell Citrix XenApp Hypervisor (Hyper-V or VMware) SCCM 2012 WSUS Benefits In addition to a competitive remuneration package, Blick Rothenberg also encourages and provides continued professional development.
