Company Overview We are a team of teachers, parents and technologists based in London, who all understand both the emotional and academic value of one-to-one tuition. Our mission is to make this accessible to everyone, not just the lucky few. Since our inception in 2013, weve been working with schools and supporting teachers with online one-to-one maths tuition as part of the school timetable, helping to reinforce their classroom teachingand the feedback has been brilliant! Since then, we have worked with thousands of teachers (and tens of thousands of pupils) to deliver online, one-to-one maths teaching. Weve also established a research partnership with the worlds leading teacher training organisation UCLs Institute of Education to gain insights from the thousands of hours of live teaching we deliver each week. We are looking for someone who is passionate about education, social impact and innovation to help us scale our solution from UK primary to global primary and secondary audiences. Your passion for education can be scaled to tens of thousands of students and tutors in the UK and beyond, and you will gain exposure across the company by working closely with teams in both product and customer facing roles. Requirements Who do we need for this role? Our focus for this coming year is to build-out and localise a taxonomy for secondary maths in both UK and USA markets and then to extend this to other English-speaking geographies. This role will lead on mapping out the curriculum for these markets, breaking them down into small teaching-units and mapping them to our taxonomy in our online platform. You will then work closely with our content development and tutor training teams to populate these curricula with content to ensure a great learning and training experience for our students and tutors. The ideal candidate will have: * extensive experience teaching secondary maths. * a methodical and analytical approach to their work. * strong management skills. * experience mentoring and developing teachers. * a solid pedagogical underpinning. * strong communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills. Nice to have : Experience teaching internationally, ideally in the USA. Experience teaching in, or an interest in, Science.
