Overview
Working for a global supplier of automated warehouse and supply chain logistics for the automotive, aerospace and general manufacturing industry, currently require a Software Support Engineer who will provide technical support to customers using their bespoke warehouse management system. They will have working knowledge of Java Enterprise (Java EE, J2EE, Jakarta EE) Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Redditch, Alcester, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Kidderminster Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 38,000 p.a. Benefits (Pension, Healthcare, Overtime) The Role The successful Software Support Engineer take charge of any technical queries or issues they experience with their warehouse management system. They will make sure all communications are logged on the system and reasonable steps are taken to resolve the problem. They will also make sure that the communication lines are maintained to the customer after the problem has been resolved. The Person The successful Software Support Engineer will have a good understanding of Java Enterprise systems. They will have at least 3 years previous experience providing technical support, preferably within the software industry. They will be able to analyse data, use technical knowledge and communicate clearly to develop solutions. A Higher National Diploma (HND) or higher in computing or related subjects is essential.
