Bristol, Bristol
Salary: £400-£450 A day, plus remote working

Overview

Outside IR35, Haptic Technology, Remote working (1-2 days) I am working with a fascinating company who are developing haptic technology (if you haven't heard of haptic technology before, I encourage CtrlT google search). Haptic technology is still in it's infancy, but it's demand from the automotive, VR and consumer electronics industry has allowed this company to operate globally with over 200 employees since we started working with them as a start up of 15 a few years ago. I am looking for a software engineer to work on a a specific project for a household name. The software engineer will be tasked with working across several other teams of software engineers to deliver haptic-specific technology across the whole SDLC to this particular customer. As a contractor, the software engineer is not expected to have specific haptic experience, but it would be advantageous to have come from a machine learning background, even if this was academic experience. The main criteria for the software engineer we are looking for is that they are an excellent C++ programmer . Many of the tools and technologies you will be working with are not public knowledge, so your fluency in these are not expected. Other requirements that might make the software engineer more effective for this assignment are: Exposure of C#, .Net Qt Knowledge of software build tools Cmake Git A background in machine learning or similar; artificial intelligence, computer vision, algorithm development etc. The software engineer will be expected to complete the majority of the assignment onsite, given the nature of the work. However, after an initial ramp-up, 1-2 per week remote will be manageable. If you have the necessary skills for this role, please apply with an attached CV and/or call Peter Greenlaw on 0118 907 7883. Please note, IC Resources are operating as an exclusive recruitment agency with this client. This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89870694
