Overview

My client is a well established financial services provider with a wide range of award winning products and services & a loyal & growing nationwide customer base. Always committed to the use of technology as a primary means of maintaining an advantage over the competition they are now looking for a talented, well-rounded & experienced C#/Web Developer to join their team. I am looking for applications from top drawer C#/Web Developers who have a proven track record of delivery & professional growth & whose CV's demonstrate that they are on a strong career trajectory (e.g. promotions, taking on more complex projects, learning new tech, providing technical, team or thought leadership where appropriate) & who are looking to take on a high profile role in a Digital Development Team. You will need fluent programming skills, with first class C# skills an essential requirement. This role is full-stack in essence, I need candidates to be comfortable with back-end/ server side (SQL, SQL Server etc.) development as well as having front-end qualities (Javascript, HTML). Additionally, ASP.Net skills will be well regarded as will experience developing in an Agile environment (Agile,Scrum, DSDM, RAD ). Any Angular experience would be well-regarded (V2/4/5 etc.) but as long as you have good native Javascript and HTML5 then my client is happy to train you in this. Experience working in CI/CD environments would be useful (SVN, GIT, TFS, Jenkins etc) as would an appreciation of the DevOps space on a broader level but this isn't essential for the right candidate. What is essential is that allied to your technical skills you have the breadth of experience & know-how that comes with being a Senior Developer, solid software design skills, a mature mindset, being solutions focused & able to keep things simple & having an open mind with regards to technology ( technologically agnostic/polyglot etc.) & be willing to pick up & use new tech as required. Other bonus skills would include CMS experience (e.g. Sitecore, Umbraco etc) & any experience in Insurance/Claims Management etc. would also be useful but not essential. The ability to develop in a highly regulated environment is important so any prior experience in similar environments would be beneficial. The development work you undertake will be varied & challenging, with lots of new development from scratch, building new E-Commerce sites (back and front-end), working with various business units (Finance, Product Teams, Digital Marketing etc.) so good stakeholder management & user liaison experience is important. This company is high growth & fast paced & candidates needs to be technically sharp but also switched on commercially & be able to talk about business outcomes, processes etc. This is an excellent role, working for a high profile Development function in a high growth company with a plethora of exciting projects in the pipeline for 2020 & beyond. This team is well regarded as being innovative & solutions focused & the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to this moving forward. The company values its tech staff & always invests in them through training & professional development & can offer excellent long term career prospects to the right candidate. Good work-life balance, interesting projects, excellent leadership & strong peer support is all on offer here - seriously this is an opportunity not to be missed. Interested candidates should apply ASAP with an up to date CV or call Declan on 0161 960 0116 for a confidential discussion. This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89935606
