Compliance Manager
Overview
An expanding Legal 500 firm is looking for an experienced compliance manager to join their team in Peterborough. As the compliance manager, you will work closely with the partners and chief executives to meet regulatory and compliance requirements. You will be responsible for monitoring the firm's compliance for all statutory obligations, drafting SARs, liaising with the CEO, CFO, partners, fee earners, and support staff at all levels, managing & overseeing the work of the internal auditors and managing the risk register. The firm would ideally like someone who has knowledge and experience of LEXCEL matters, will consider both qualified compliance officers or solicitors from a regulatory or risk background looking to specialise. Skill and experience required: At least 5 years’ experience within a similar role, ideally in a legal setting Excellent knowledge of the AML, Anti-Bribery Act and associated legislation, and the conflict and client confidentiality aspects of the SRA code of conduct Confident in decision making regarding ISO and Lexcel enquiries Computer literate with a good working knowledge of common desktop applications, such as MS Outlook and Word and especially Excel.
