Overview
Junior DevOps Engineer required by a specialist data solutions provider owning and solving complex technical and business change initiatives in a practical and hands-on way. Their unique product and service offering is portable across a wide range of industries, business sectors and both established and emerging markets. Junior DevOps Engineer Responsibilities: As a Junior DevOps Engineer at you will support the DevOp’s Lead on the operations and development of the companies cloud based IT infrastructure Principal responsibilities will involve: • Maintenance and administration of existing IT systems and development of new IT systems • Responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving issues raised by the development team on the AWS estate • Pro-actively manage system issues and faults including ensuring that systems are being correctly monitored, patched and upgraded • Work alongside third party vendors on infrastructure projects or in the implementation of security testing and audits • Providing technical consulting and providing technical documentation for colleagues on client projects/deployments as required Junior DevOps Engineer Requirements Competencies: You will have proven experience in strong analytic skills and have the ability to operate effectively in unfamiliar environments, remaining calm under pressure and agile in approach. • Good knowledge of Linux server administration and configuration (preferably Ubuntu / CentOS) • Good understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, DNS/Bind and network security • Python & Bash programming / scripting skills • Administering AWS or similar cloud environment • Qualification in Computer Science or a STEM related degree ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE FREE TO WORK IN THE UK FREE FROM THE RESTRICTIONS OF VISA`S AND WORK PERMITS.
