Overview

Fire Alarm Service Engineer Alecto Recruitment are currently representing an independently-owned electronic fire & security company accredited by SSAIB, UKAS and BAFE, who are continuing to recruit for Service engineers across the company. My client designs, installs, commissions and maintains tailored, modern and effective electronic fire & security systems. In line with their growth plan they are continuing to expand the installation and service engineering team, offering a highly rewarding position for a top engineer. The Role: To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to organise oneself, with the ability to carry out the installation, maintenance & repairs of fire and security systems as required. Duties & Responsibilities Maintenance of conventional & addressable Fire detection systems Maintenance of emergency lighting systems - desirable Maintenance of automatic opening vents - desirable Fault finding and repairs to above systems To provide reliable, quality support to our customers at all times To have a professional telephone and face to face manor Assist customers and regional team with technical issues either on the phone or face to face A flexible approach to working hours. Out of hours working will be required at times Achieve Operation KPI set by the company. Provide assistance and training to other team members as required Skills, Competencies and Attributes Must have a high level of experience of our industry Excellent technical knowledge of Fire & Security Systems Have a systematic/logical approach to tasks & problems Ensure all tasks are carried out quickly & efficiently Be presentable in person and in vehicle and tools Excellent communication and organisational skills Be aware of and responsible for the equipment required to complete the necessary works including emergency van stock Understand the need for precise completion of paperwork records of jobs and full use of PDA device. Have a polite but assertive telephone manor Good knowledge of London and the home counties Postcodes Good Customer service skills Ability to motivate staff & Colleagues and lead by example The Ability to think laterally and "Out of the Box" Prompt and consistent time keeping Package: £30,000 - £34,000 basic salary Standard overtime 1.5 times / 2 times on Sundays and Bank Holidays Standard 20 days holiday per annum, additional day per a year up to 25 days, additional 5 days at 10 years' service Max 3 year old vehicle iPhone air drive in vehicles Vehicle registered for Dart and Congestion Charge Vehicle registered on pay by phone parking apps so no parking needs to be paid and claimed back Fuel card Laptop & anything else required to be effective in you position If you believe you can fulfil this position then do not hesitate to apply today.
