Overview
White Label are proud to be working with a large engineering/manufacturing company in the Grimsby area who are looking to recruit a Draughtsman due to large increases in project work and company expansion. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with varied design work and large projects to get stuck in to. I’ve just met with the company so I’m excited to bring this role to your attention. What I like about this role is the client have an open and outgoing office where you are not micromanaged and trusted to get the job done. There is also a lot of overtime opportunities for those wanting to earn extra money. To top it off they also invest heavily back into the design department looking at ways to improve processes as well as make everything greener and better for the environment. Main responsibilities Technical: using CAD & Solid works produce technical drawings and calculations of client specifications and design work including parts, machinery and sub-assemblies, in a timely and efficient manner. Provide engineering support to project related jobs and product development including site visits. Technical files and documentation: completion of all relevant documentation in line with business procedures, customer requirements and audits. Drawings: to ensure that all drawings issued are fully complete, including the parts specifications, and parts list for procurement. Effective Communication: to ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed and updated in relation to their requirements. This includes providing accurate estimates for design and drawing times. Quality and compliance; undertaking all responsibilities and activities in an accurate and complete manner to ensure compliance. This includes the checking and approval of drawings, making decisions and identifying improvements as necessary. This list is non-exhaustive, and may include other duties designated as appropriate to the role. Requirements 3 years or more 3D CAD design experience in industry. Mechanical design experience such as Conveyors/Sheet Metal/Fabrication etc. Strong attention to detail skills. My client is willing to offer a salary of 30-45K depending on experience. Working hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with 1 hour for lunch 25 days holiday bank holidays Overtime paid at time and half or double depending Pension Due to current circumstance applicatons will be reviwed at the end of April for this position.
