Overview

£30,000 - £40,000 D.O.E Leeds Mechanical Design Engineer needed for an immediate start. The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be liaising with various members of the design team to design and develop special purpose machinery, ideally packaging machinery for the food industry. The client is a specialist equipment and packaging business operating packaging machines for the food industry. Must have remote design license Duties: Liaising with both production and purchasing departments to ensure components are manufactured and supplied correctly and on time. Supporting the shop floor to ensure the finished product is assembled and tested correctly. Experience: The ideal candidate should be minimum HNC qualified and have demonstrable experience in special purpose machinery design, preferably to include press machinery, including mechanical assemblies (including fabrications and castings). Additional knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and force analysis would also be advantageous. The candidate should be familiar with both 2D & 3D CAD design (SolidWorks and /or Autodesk Inventor preferred), be computer literate and have effective communication skills.
