Overview
Due to increased orders, our client has decided to engage additional staff in the assembly workshop, as a result we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter. Duties: Build complex assemblies and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings Fitting bearings, keys, splines and gears to ensure smooth operation Onsite factory testing before despatch Some travel on installation and service after product knowledge is firmly established Mechanical Fitter/Machinery build/Precision/Assembly Fitter You: Apprentice-trained Mechanical Fitter with minimum NVQ3/City & Guilds 1-3 in Mechanical Engineering Experience of close tolerance assembly in a machine build environment Excellent hand skills Experience of hydraulics and advantage Team player Able to work away occasionally Mechanical Fitter/Machinery build/Precision/Assembly Fitter In return the company offer a very competitive pay rate, a 37.5 hour 4 day week with overtime paid for additional hours and the usual benefits.
