An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Infection Prevention and Control Nurse to work in delivering quality infection prevention control practices, supporting the Chief Nurse and Director of Infection Prevention & Control (DIPC) to deliver and lead on infection, prevention and control. Job Description We are looking for an experienced Infection, Prevention and Control Nurse who can demonstrate strong professional leadership and the drive to support quality improvement and assurance within the Princess Grace Hospital. The post holder should have relevant experience and qualification in Infection Prevention and Control and is able to work autonomously. Excellent organisational skills are required to lead the delivery of education and training, audits, surveillance and to support colleagues in embedding the infection control agenda through robust policy and audit. Please note we will close this role early if suitable number of applications are received Duties & Responsibilities You will have an active role in all aspects of infection prevention and control throughout the Hospital and outpatient and diagnostic sites, with a strong link with other facilities as part of the HCA Healthcare family. The role will include conducting, supporting and collating audits of infection prevention and control practice and surveillance of incidences of infection, including surgical site infection with the collation of any learning. Additionally, there are regular reporting requirements in order to satisfy internal governance. Skills & Experience Candidates should have extensive post registration experience in acute clinical care and be able to demonstrate an interest in infection prevention and control. Previous experience within this specialist area would be an advantage.
