Overview

Our Central London client in the food preparation sector is on the lookout for an autonomous and self-motivated HR Advisor who has a Generalist HR skillset to support them initially on a 6 month contract through a period of exceptional growth. On offer is a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 and the opportunity for this to become a permanent role too. What does the role entail? As the HR Advisor you will be the first point of contact for all HR queries for up to around 200 staff, where you will also manage the HR inbox dealing with all of the queries and escalating those when needed to. The company is really growing having added almost 30 staff in the last 2 weeks alone and they will continue this growth mostly in their warehouse and with delivery drivers, so a large part of your role will be to support the hiring managers with recruitment coordination, issuing offer letters, contract and onboarding. ER will also form part of your role however this is not a huge issue for the company and will be more day to day absence management and the odd disciplinary. You will look after the full employee lifecycle, as well as the HR entry into Payroll and other ad hoc HR issues and projects will form part of your day to day tasks too. What skills will you have? To be considered for this HR Advisor position you will have a good Generalist HR skill set, a can do attitude and be the type of person who is happy to get stuck in to all tasks. You will, given the current climate be happy working from home where you will be able to manage a busy workload. You will be a naturally quick learner who can pick up systems and processes quickly and remotely with the support of the wider team. You will be comfortable striking up conversations with people you will not meet face to face and become an integral part of the business quickly. An added bonus would be having worked within the food sector however not essential, as would having started or completed CIPD or other relevant HR qualifications. You will be good at picking up new systems, great with IT and comfortable using Excel and ideally Google docs too. As well as the skills to do the job you will be a self starter who can self motivate, who is happy and upbeat and a great communicator at all levels.
