Sopra Banking Software have a new opportunity for a Head of Design in the Sopra Banking Software UK centre of excellence, focused on driving the success of our Digital solutions. We are growing our Design team to become a key part of our organisation, where we are committed to grow, mature and develop our customer centric digital banking solutions. We create value-added solution and outstanding customer experience for our clients and for their customers on a wide range of Banking digital offering such as Mobile/Online services, on boarding, marketplace or payments aligned to our industry-leading core banking platforms capabilities and complemented with technology partners. You will be working with a suite of Financial Service clients to address some of their biggest experience, functional and commercial challenges. We partner with an impressive range of clients and a growing ecosystem of technology and data providers to increase performance and provide delightful digital customer and colleague journeys, offer Lifestyle banking experience, address customer vulnerabilities or digitising operations and back offices to reduce cost. In this role you’ll take a leading role as part of the Design ops team and you will be: · Leading a team of designers, UX’s, researchers and set up the processes and systems to build world-class solutions · Be a customer centric champion and define end to end digital customer experience based on customer needs and reducing pain points · Be an internal and external evangelist for our Design led Thinking solutions which impact how competitive our solutions are in our market · Work closely with cross functional teams, clients and customers to understand needs, opportunities, customer requirements and customer problems and design experience whichfit their needs and inform on-going development Of course, you can’t do this on our own, and as part of the Design Ops team you will work closely with all other areas of Sopra Banking, as well as core teams across the group, including Product, Marketing, Development Centres and our key controls communities. Who we're looking for As a minimum requirement, we need Experience within the FinTech and/or Financial Services industry A self-starter who has experience in driving Design thinking within an organisation and take ownership for results · Creative thinking, using design led and innovative approaches to tackle complex problems and to deliver outstanding customer experience Experience building and managing cohesive, collaborative and highly performing teams Proven track record leading with complex strategic and operational initiatives, working through technical, operational, legal/policy and business issues A great eye for understanding and tracking data, using your analytical skills to help shape the vision · Ability to challenge the status quo supported by facts, data and empirical research , influence clients and Senior stakeholders to shape the financial services organisations of the future · Proven experience of end-to-end product design across web (Mobile First) and apps as well as Design Workflows and Agile/UX software such as Sketch, Invision & Jira A great communicator, an engaging storyteller that brings everyone together towards a shared vision What you'll be doing You’ll work side by side with colleagues from across the business, and will be accountable for defining and delivering the future of our digital banking propositions. Responsibility will fall to you to define and realise this vision through tangible propositions that provide optimised journeys, a great experience and real value for our clients. On a day to day basis you’ll be accountable for: • Build, mentor and grow a highly performing and collaborative team • Lead the Design team: The team will serve as pivotal drivers of the experience discovery and delivery, apply Lean UX methodologies and enable the design of outstanding experience • Be the voice of customers and enable the different cross functional teams and our clients to understand customer problems and needs, validate ideas and generate insights • Gather requirements, determine the design work, be a key influencer of the roadmap prioritisation, mentor BAs to write user stories, and manage your team like a start-up • Work in collaboration with the Head of Strategic Digital propositions to define vision and ensure that the experience your team deliver is consistent with our strategy • Work in collaboration with the leadership team (including Clients’ leadership teams) to ensure User Design is at the forefront of the conversation, and help them to become Customer centred • Invest in systems, and processes alongside your team members to create world-class best practices. • Provide creative oversight and support to projects, helping them to make consistently high-quality design choices in their projects In return you will benefit from: By joining the Sopra Banking Software team you will enjoy our excellent rewards and benefits schemes including a 6% pension contribution, employee share scheme (buy one get one free), an option to buy or sell holiday days,medical insurance, critical illness cover, a health cash plan, and an openness to discussing flexible working arrangements, plus many more excellent benefits.
