Working for a reputable, award winning Wealth Manager you’ll be responsible for delivering both detailed calculations using in-house tools, preparation of technical pension advice and provide technical research services analysing and compiling complex pension taxation and TVAR reports in conjunction with the BMA and other Advisers. Day to day you will be assisting the Advisers in achieving their fee income targets, meeting client servicing commitments and complying with company business quality standards and advice processes. The role Relying on company internal research and advice tools, key accountabilities will include: - In-depth and comprehensive analysis of clients’ financial planning with a particular regard to NHS Pension Scheme benefits, the impact of the Lifetime and Annual Allowances and complex planning strategies around pension funding opportunities particularly for NHS Pension Scheme members; - Undertake complex pension benefit analysis - Run BMA calculator scenarios ensuring all data is relevant and accurate - Compiledetailed pension illustrations, projections and associated documentation - Handle adviser queries - Ensure client files comply with the company business quality standards; - Assist in checking peer calculations and reports - Provide support with ad hoc projects and head of departments, as required - To assist with any new business initiatives, as required. The person A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience within a Financial Planning environment, whether as an Advisor Support or Paraplanner. You’ll have a hunger to continuously develop, gain technical knowledge and excel whilst working towards the CII Advance diploma. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, with a professional manner allowing you to build effective working relationships both, internally and externally. Strong organisational and planning abilities. Highly numerate, good attention to detail and proven ability to work autonomously. Key Skills - Experience of Paraplanning or Supporting an Advisor for a high performing financial adviser or related experience as a scheme administrator - Experience of working within a high pressure, professional environment - Working toward being diploma qualified - In-depth awareness and technical knowledge of Financial Services Industry products and services with a particular focus on pension and pension planning related issues. - Extensive understanding of the compliance framework and business quality requirements, including TCF
