Salary: From £9.30 to £21 per hour plus paid mileage + paid travel time

Overview

We are looking for full or part time hours Paid Volunteers, Befrienders & Companions who live in Eastleigh, Romsey, Winchester, Chandlers Ford, Bishopstoke, Wellow and surrounding areas of Hampshire . And would want to make a difference to someone like Annie? Maybe you have been considered Volunteer jobs? No experience is required as full training will be provided. However, it is essential that you have a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. There is no upper age limit for applications, becoming a Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Companion could be perfect for you. Annie lives on her own and suffered a broken hip after falling whilst out shopping. She became scared of leaving her home in case she had another fall and she was often very lonely. We arranged for a lovely girl called Samina to visit Annie as her regular Care Companion. Samina has helped Annie regain her confidence by gently persuading her to overcome her fears. She helps her get up in the morning, get dressed, make her breakfast and maybe do a bit of light housework. Some days she will help her up the stairs to bed in the evening. Samina now takes her out on outings to her dance group with all her friends and out into town to do her shopping and have a nice cuppa. Annie said, “she thought she would never get a change to enjoy doing the things she loves doing most”. This has now become possible with the help and support care from Samina and you could help someone in your local community too and share that feeling. Benefits & Hours: Starting pay £9.30 per hour weekdays £14 per hour weekends NVQ level 2 pay £9.60 per hour weekdays £14.50 per hour weekends NVQ level 3 pay £10.00 per hour weekdays £15 per hour weekends Bank Holidays, Christmas and Easter £17.00 to £21 per hour Paid Travel & Training time at £8.21 per hour If you have some availability early mornings, lunchtimes, afternoons, evenings and a few hours every other weekend, then this position is ideal for you; Pension scheme; Full training providing and support towards further qualifications.
