Overview

We are looking for a Lead / Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic, highly professional product design company who are developing state of the art new products by transforming new ideas, designs and technologies into commercially successful products. The company focuses on products for industrial, energy, life science, transport and consumer industries. As the Lead / Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will have a background in Mechanical Engineering ( or Production Engineering) and expertise in leading projects covering manufacturing and production automation, solving complex technical problems and supporting the development of new products and processes. The company really is dynamic, fast moving and incredibly successful. You will get to work on a wide variety of projects - many of which you will see go into production with a major household name on the box They also put a high degree of emphasis on personal support and development. Lead Manufacturing Engineer Requirements A 1st/2.1 BSc, BEng or MEng degree from a leading university in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Real enthusiasm for innovation, creative problem solving, designing novel products and processes Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and automation gained within a technology related industry sector. Excellent communication skills, ability to present technical subjects and to negotiate with suppliers Practical experience in leading projects, teams and technical developments, reviewing the work of other engineers, designers and technologists Full UK driving licence, valid passport and willingness to undertake occasional international travel. Ideally, you will also have: Demonstrable engineering experience in machining, assembly or prototyping work. Experience of running complex R&D and NPI projects Commercial awareness and a natural instinct to promote the company, develop client accounts, and broaden your industry sector-specific experience Vacancy Location: Cambridgeshire (Commutable from Cambridge, St Neots, Letchworth, Hitchin, Bedford, Huntingdon, Sandy etc.)
