Overview

You’re an experienced Developer, love what you do but are waiting for that chance to “lead”. You know what needs to be done to build a great team, introduce efficient processes and steer the technical direction, you just haven’t had the chance yet. A Development agency in Bath are looking for an experienced Developer who is looking to step into a Lead role. Your experience will be Full Stack but with an emphasis on the front end and an eye for design. Tech stack wise you’ll have strong experience in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Bonus points for experience with Laravel or similar and JS frameworks including React or Vue or Angular or Knockout. They work on various projects, mainly bespoke websites and applications for well-known brands. Their customers have used them multiple times, for multiple projects so shows they do a great job. The Lead Developer role will focus on leading the “Digital” side of the agency. You’ll have the autonomy to raise the bar with new technologies through choosing technical direction, implementing new processes and building up your team. You’ll take over a team of two and once you start will have the budget to recruit two more developers, to fit the skills/technical direction you want to take. Approximately 70% of your time you’ll be developing but the rest of the time will be leading/coaching and also working with client services on project estimations. Working closely with design to ensure all projects are completed to the highest standard and to client brief. The business is small but established (over 15 years in business) and this year will see a big opportunity for growth as they go for investment to push them on to the next level. Including the other SaaS part of the business. So, what’s in it for you?
