Overview

Project Engineer Our consultancy are currently retained by a major food manufacturing business who wish to appoint an experienced Project Engineer who is ready for their next challenge. We are searching for a highly motivated Project Engineer located at our clients manufacturing site near Norwich. Reporting to the Projects Engineering Manager, the role will be part of the Engineering Projects team. KEY Accountabilities & Responsibilities Full end to end project management of multiple manufacturing process, including: Development of pipeline of suitable projects, inc, feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, etc., Installation of new equipment Lead compilation of capital authority request documentation / narrative Lead and engage end users in the development of engineering scope Develop functional design specifications in compliance with engineering & Premier specifications Run tender and procurement activity with equipment vendors Management of all health and safety aspects of capital projects (eg CDM requirements) Reporting of project progress: tracking of milestones, activity, priorities, financials Ensure compliance at pre-delivery milestones to user acceptance test protocols Manage key resource through to project delivery Manage post-delivery process including installation, commissioning, training, etc., Continuous Improvement MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Engineering Degree or equivalent (desirable) Have a Food & FMCG background Extensive capital project management experience with a customer focus Reliability experience Conversant with relevant legislation (eg, IEE 17th Edition, DSEAR, etc) (desirable) Demonstrable record in successful delivery of engineering capital projects in FMCG with particular emphasis on specification/planning /integration/implementation CAD literate (desirable) MS Project proficient (desirable) Experience of indirect management of multi-functional/disciplinary teams Experience of modern manufacturing practice (desirable) Strong working knowledge/experience of Rockwell/Allen Bradley control systems Collaborative approach, with ability to communicate at all levels Ability to deliver results on time and cost in a pressurised and trade union environment (desirable) Task focused with ability to deliver on time SHIFT PATTERN Monday – Friday, days BENEFITS Generous salary paying up to £50,000 p/a, 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89802955
