Overview

Corporate Actuarial Trainee - Reading, London or Sheffield About the role We are looking for a Corporate Actuarial Trainee to be based out of either our Reading, London or Sheffield office. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Corporate Actuaries in the provision of advice to the wider Capita business in respect of pensions arrangements for Capita employees. You will receive on the job training from two Senior Actuaries. This role would suit someone who has a Mathematics/Accounting background who has ideally passed some Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams. What you will do: Assist with provision of advice to Capita in respect of Capita's pensions arrangements Take an initial query or project and determine what is required with minimal input from the Corporate Actuary, recommend, agree with actuary and then carry out any action required, passing to the Corporate Actuary when work is substantially completed Manage projects as requested by the Corporate Actuary Develop, assist and make presentations with clear written and verbal communications Identify areas for improvement in team's delivery to Capita. Take responsibility for all aspects of management of projects including scope and delivery Your experience will include: Highly numerate, with at least Grade B for Maths A Level Ideally passed some Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams Good working knowledge of Excel and Word Good knowledge of pensions would be advantageous but not essential Strong research and communication skills What's in it for you?
