At SEL we are hiring a dedicated Corporate Counsel to join our team and support our regional sales and services operations throughout Europe, Africa, The Middle East, and India. The ideal candidate will have experience with business law, employment law, and contract review for an international organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Act as primary legal support for assigned business units and subsidiaries and work with supervising counsel to resolve pending matters. 2. Research and report on legal issues related to client needs and compliance. 3. Work with and manage workflow with external counsel. 4. Draft and review business agreements, company policies and other documents as required for review by supervising counsel. 5. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 6. Understand. Create. Simplify. 7. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree from an accredited school of law Member in good standing with applicable legal jurisdiction 3+ years' experience practicing law Business and legal fluency in English Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Demonstrated expertise in required areas of law such as corporate, international, employment, contracts, and intellectual property Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Preferred Qualifications Business and legal fluency in additional language(s) An Award Winning Company Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.
